Junior Process Engineer (m/f/d) in the photonics industry

About us

GD Optical Competence GmbH is a leading medium-sized company in the photonics industry. We specialize in the development and production of high-precision optical components and systems that are used worldwide in telecommunications, medical technology, the automotive industry and many other sectors. Our focus is on quality, sustainability and the continuous development of our technologies.

Your tasks

Supervision of the tempering systems including layer development and continuous optimization of quality and reliability.
Active collaboration in the area of isothermal pressing: Development of processes, handover to production, carrying out test series.
Laboratory: development of test setups and optical measurement setups.
Project work: Planning, coordination and monitoring of projects for process optimization and development in the "Young Professionals" team.
Documentation: Creation and maintenance of process documentation, work instructions and training documents.
Teamwork: Close cooperation with the Research & Development, Technology, Production and Quality Assurance departments.

Your profile

Degree: Degree in engineering, physics or a related field.
Professional experience: Initial experience in process development or optimization or coating; ideally in the optics industry.Technical understanding: Good knowledge in the application of measurement technology.
Soft skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills and a structured way of working, high level of self-organization, perseverance and initiative.
Communication: Very good written and spoken German.
Team player: High level of teamwork and communication skills.

Optical assistant cleaning & control (m/f/d)

About us

Your tasks

Loading the cleaning fixtures.
Checking lenses for defects and quality using a microscope in a cleanroom environment.
Use of cleaning agents, operation of cleaning machines and measuring devices.
Recording the work steps in the ERP system.

Your profile

Good fine motor skills.
Initial experience with a microscope or quality inspection of very small parts.
Motivation for further development and openness to new challenges.
Willingness to work shifts (alternating weekly 6:00 am - 2:00 pm; 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm).
IT skills desirable.
At least a good command of written and spoken German.
